Build Your Closet, Your Way

Build Your Closet, Your Way

No two closets are alike. The reach-in by the front door, the awkward nook under the stairs, the walk-in that's never quite walked into the way you pictured — each one has its own quirks. So why do most closet kits act like every space is identical?

A system, not a one-size-fits-all box

Ours is built to be mixed and matched. Shelves, hanging sections, shoe storage, cubbies — you choose the pieces that fit how you live, then arrange them to suit the space you actually have. Want double-hang for shirts on one side and high hanging for dresses on the other? Done. Need to add a section next year? It'll line right up with what you already own.

That flexibility is the whole point. You're not forced to bend your wardrobe around someone else's layout. The layout bends around you.

When it doesn't fit, cut it down

Here's the part people love most: our solid wood system can be easily cut down to fit. Walls are rarely a tidy round number, and a system that only works at one fixed width isn't much of a system at all. With basic tools and a few minutes, you can trim a panel or shelf to land exactly where you want it — no special order, no waiting, no compromise.

Before making your first cut make sure all measurements are confirmed, and that you have the proper safety equipment (safety glasses, dust mask, hearing protection). Just about any saw will work, usually the working edge is hidden as well so it doesn't have to be perfect! If using a table saw or miter saw, be sure that is able to cut the full 12.5" or 14.5" depth before committing to a cut. A simple manual hand saw will work well if you only have to make a few cuts, the cedar cuts clean and easy with a sharp blade.

It's the same wood we've been milling for decades, so it cuts clean and finishes nicely with a quick pass of sandpaper.

Design the space you've been picturing

Whether you're organizing a single closet or rethinking a whole room, a modular cedar system gives you room to grow and the freedom to get it right.
